Below you'll find details on our International Volunteer Program.
Please be sure to read carefully about our fees, program inclusions and policies before applying.
Friends Vision International Volunteer Program is designed for volunteers who would like to have a fully integrated volunteer experience abroad. This program offers everything you need to have a successful first trip to Kenya.
This program has a minimum of a two week stay, starting on either the 1st or 15th of every month. Please note that all volunteers must arrive one (1) day BEFORE the program begins.
All of our program fees are per person and are in AU dollars.
We require that 50% of your total fees are paid immediately after application approval. The remaining 50% of your total fees must be paid 2 weeks before departure.
You must notify us as soon as possible, and no later than 2 weeks before your departure, if you wish to cancel your volunteer program and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your departure, you forfeit your initial deposit (50% of your total program fees).
What's NOT Included
We have found that a weekly personal budget of $100 AU is standard, but of course this does vary from individual to individual.
The volunteers of this program must read and agree to our terms and conditions before applying.
Friends Vision strives to always be as upfront as possible about how your fees are distributed. If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
|2013 News Update||We have had a very busy year at Friends Vision with myself spending 10 months in Kenya to help lay the ground work for new projects and network within the local community (amongst many other things!). This year we employed two new staff members, saw volunteers, friends and family join us in Kenya to see our projects and welcomed some new children into our sponsorship program. We overcame many challenges that Kenya seems to throw at us at any given time and have slowly made progress on our existing projects getting us another step closer to building our first children's home. Have a read below of the year that was. I hope you enjoy and all have a great Christmas ahead!|
